Lecture Series: Local Historian Bruce Yarnall

Local historian Bruce Yarnall will share a presentation called “Through the Lens of History: Local Postcard History.” For almost 100 years, the postcard was the equivalent of today’s social media “instant messaging” and today’s social media photo posts. Come to the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum to learn about local history through Yarnall’s incredible postcard collection and his stories. This event is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, April 22nd at 6:00 PM.

The stately homes surrounding the former Bradfield Mansion at 532 North Chestnut Street, the current home for the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum, have changed little since this real photo postcard view was captured more than 110 years ago.
