Night at the Museum: Let’s Talk Buttons Published on August 14, 2024 by Lisa Gallagher On Monday, August 26th, at 6 p.m. Chris Graham will present “Let’s Talk Buttons” at the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum. Her presentation will include an overview of how buttons have been adapted to meet the needs of fashion and available materials influenced by historical events from the 18th Century to the present time. See buttons from the Victorian Era crafted from glass, tortoise shell, carved ivory, china, wood, food, and many other materials. Chris is a member of the Zane Trace Button Club. She also is the vice president of the Buckeye State Button Society. Chris is a ten-year button collector, who is well-known throughout Ohio for her winning button trays. Guests are invited to bring buttons for identification and valuation appraisal. This event is free and open to the public.
