Ohio Open Doors Open House
September 14th & 15th from 1-4 p.m.
Receive a brief history of the Victorian Mansion Museum and complete a self-guided tour. Admission is free. Complete the passport from Belmont County Tourism and turn it in at their office to win a prize basket.
Night at the Museum: History of Quilt-Making in America
September 23rd at 6 p.m.
Terry Tickhill Terrell will discuss the history of quilt-making in America, sharing quilts from various time periods. If you bring a quilt, Terry will determine its date for you.
Pumpkin Festival: Quilt Show & Yard Sale
September 26th – 29th
At noon on Thursday, the yard sale will be open. Tour the Victorian Mansion and view the quilt show, featuring quilts created from the 1860s -1960s, for a $5 admission fee, Friday – Sunday. See the Pumpkin Tab or our website for more details.
Southern Cemetery Tour & Psychic Readings
October 26th Tours at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Brock Rogers will lead the group through Southern Cemetery, exploring Barnesville’s history through the stories of people buried there. By appointment and a $40 fee, you can experience a psychic reading at the Victorian Mansion. Call Brock at 740-310-7093 for reservations.
The Magic of Christmas Mansion Tours
November 1st – December 22nd
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is this year’s theme at the Victorian Mansion. Local volunteers have decorated each room, transforming the museum into a Christmas paradise. The tours begin on Friday, November 1st, and continue through Sunday, December 22nd. On Fridays, tour hours are 5-8 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
Christmas Teas
November 16th, December 6th & 7th at 11:30 a.m.
Celebrate the Christmas season with one of our Victorian Christmas teas. The cost is $25 per person and includes a mansion tour. Starting October 1st, reservations can be made by calling 740-695-0766.
