The Belmont County Historical Society and Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum are happy to announce the 2022 schedule of events.
To celebrate our opening this year, we will be offering free admission on April 30th, 2022, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. We would like to thank Wilson Funeral Homes for sponsoring this free admission event. We will open as usual for paid admission on May 1st, 2022.
In June, we will hold our famous Rose Tea. Featured as part of the tea will be a display of the museum’s wedding gown collection. Our collection has recently grown with a donation from the Reisbeck family of a 1907 wedding gown.
July will bring a field trip to Flint Ridge and Newark Earthworks led by John Boilegh. We will be having a Painting & Tea Party in August.
During September, we will be displaying quilts from the museum quilt collection, with extended hours the weekend of the Pumpkin Festival.
The Magic of Christmas Tours will return the Saturday after Thanksgiving with regular hours through December 18th, and by appointment through January 8th, 2023. We will also be holding Victorian Christmas Teas on December 2nd and 3rd.
More detailed information on all our events can be found on our Upcoming Events page.
Recently, members of the Belmont County Historical Society paid a visit to our neighbors at the Noble County Historical Society to attend the Ohio Local History Alliance Region 10 meeting, held at the Ball-Caldwell House in Caldwell, Ohio.
While there, they attended informational sessions, including ones on how to find and access grants and partnering with local schools.
We wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our newly redesigned website. We will be updating it with information on upcoming events, and anything else new with the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum.
If you are on social media, we are also on Facebook and Instagram, and would love if you followed us there, as well.
